Samaritan
Bethany offers a quarterly, state-approved
nursing assistant training program.
Each session runs Monday through
Thursday, four hours a day. The
sessions alternate between days
and evenings to meet the needs
and offer opportunities for all
potential students.
The
curriculum consists of classroom/instruction
time and skills performance including
clinical time. Upon completion
of this class, the students receive
certificates and are then prepared
to take the state exam. Upon passing
the test, names are entered on
the state registry as registered
nursing assistants (NA/R).
Many
students take advantage of the
scholarship program offered through
the Foundation or the opportunity
(when the position is open) as
a station aide while in training.
This position acqaints students
with the residents and the care
center, while providing simple,
non-personal care.
