While
the organization is strictly non-denominational,
serving persons across all races
and religions, Samaritan Bethany,
Inc. retains a connection with
the Peace United Church of Christ
and with six Lutheran congregations,
representatives from which comprise
the majority of the agency's board
of directors. There is no formal
financial relationship between
Samaritan Bethany, Inc. and these
congregations, although they are
free to contribute to the support
of the agency as they see fit.
Samaritan Bethany continually
works with the sponsoring churches
keeping them aware of the mission
and need for financial support
and volunteer opportunities through
Liaisons from each church.
Members of the congregations volunteer
for Samaritan Bethany activities
for medical escorts, hospice needs,
Sunday morning escorts for church
services at each care center,
and for the Home on 8th Auxiliary
and gift shop. Please call Noel
